The Fine Print

Although I am of Cherokee ancestry, I make no claim to represent the Cherokee Nation in any capacity.

Likewise, although I have been blessed with many fine mentors, including members of the Lakota Nation, I make no claim to represent the Lakota Nation or to speak for Lakota people. I speak for myself and my teachers, and do not officially represent any tribe, tribal government, religious body, political organization, and so on.

I comply with the Native American Crafts Act of 1990 by not knowingly linking to any site that advertises “Native American” crafts that were not made by a documented member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe.

I don’t knowingly link to sites that feature porn, plastic medicine men, new age healing presented as “Native American,” any site that inaccurately portrays native history, culture or issues, or anything that promotes hate, greed, or intolerance in any fashion.

I share the teachings of my elders and my own personal spiritual path out of love for the Creator, the Earth and all of the people here --two-legged or not. I make no claim to be a “medicine woman” or “Shaman.”

We sponsor a very large Lakota family though a non-profit orgainzation called ONE SPIRIT.   This is a completely volunteer organization and no one receives a salary for their participation, not even the head administrators.

Our fund raising efforts for this wonderful organization can be verified, and so can the help that we give our Lakota family.  Whether it is selling crafts on ebay or collecting donations at events and workshops--- we do not make a personal profit.  Nor does anyone else in the One Spirit organization.

We don't necessarily endorse the products, organizations, or individual opinions featured on the websites that we swap links with or the web rings that we belong to. Use common sense in surfing the web.
